As another fantastic season comes to a close, everyone at GFA Aztech and Spirit Academy can look back with pride on a year full of development, hard work, enjoyment, and memorable moments on and off the pitch.

Throughout the season, players across all age groups have continued to improve their skills, confidence, and understanding of the game through weekly training sessions and matches. The commitment shown by players, coaches, and parents has helped create a positive and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.
This season also marked the inaugural year of the Spirit Development Academy, which has proven to be an extremely positive addition to the programme. The enthusiasm, progress, and engagement shown by all involved has been fantastic to see, and there is already great excitement about building on this success with even more to come next season.
To round off the season, many groups celebrated with a variety of activities including in-house matches, fixtures against other clubs, and tournament competitions. These events provided a brilliant opportunity for players to showcase their progress while enjoying the team spirit that has been built throughout the year.
One of the highlights of the closing weeks came at the recent Rangers 7s competition, where the U10 and U12 Aztech and Spirit players represented the academy superbly. Both age groups competed with great enthusiasm, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the day.
A special mention goes to one of the U10 teams, who enjoyed an outstanding tournament run all the way to the final. After a series of excellent performances, they narrowly lost out to Rovers U11s in the final match. Despite the result, the players should be incredibly proud of their efforts and the way they represented the academy.
Most importantly, a great day was had by all who took part, with plenty of smiles, teamwork, and memorable moments shared between players, coaches, and families.
Although many groups have now completed their season, there are still some exciting fixtures to come. The Year 4 Aztech and Spirit teams are preparing to take part in the BWCI Festival this weekend, which promises to be another excellent experience for the players.
The Year 7 and Year 8 sides also have an exciting few weeks ahead as they travel to face Poole Town, before taking part in fixtures against visiting teams from Jersey Scottish. These matches provide fantastic opportunities for players to test themselves against different opposition and continue their development in competitive environments.
As the season ends, we would like to thank all players, parents, coaches, and volunteers for their continued support and commitment throughout the year. Your dedication helps make the GFA Aztech and Spirit Academy such a special place for young players to learn and enjoy football.
We now look ahead to next season with excitement and anticipation, and we wish everyone a happy and enjoyable summer break.
